just finished PPL powered by own cash. (mega skint). Anyone recently had financial assistance to go the whole hogg? Whos is the best ass to lick to get the money?

I am aware of two potential sources of funding at present : i) HSBC bank offer a Professional Studies Loan for which the CPL / ATPL is deemed to fit their criteria
ii) Career Development Loans are available from the Clydesdale Bank, CO OP Bank and Barclays upto a maximum of 8k, and at a subsidised interest rate.
It might also be worth visiting your local library and asking for their list of bursary / charitable grant - giving organisations; you won't fund the whole thing via this means but you might receive a few hundred quid free.
