Naples Air Centre - Career Pilot Programme (EASA&FAA)

Can I please have some feedback if anyone has done this course in Naples Air Centre.

Any other information is greatly appreciated.

In the last six months I have spoken with two pilots who told me they were in financial difficulties, however, this may simply be rumours. I could not confirm if this was true.

I was in Naples earlier this year, I spoke to one instructor of NAC who was thinking of leaving, and one student who had failed at least 3 ATPL's on their groundschool.

They sound like a cheap option from the outset, but there are added charges here there and everywhere, however if you go there with the focus to pass everything like every other school you will do okay, just be prepared to have scheduling issues, taking longer than estimated and lots of different instructors. Also do not pay up front!

We can start with Naples Air Center (http://www.naples-air-center.com) There is nothing on this webpage that matches real life. Especially prices.

Many days (all the time) you have to just stay at the school all day, you dont know if you are flying or not. You dont know if you are able to do your exam that day. You dont know anything, because they don´t care about you.

We can move on to the poor dutch guys who is paying 70-80.000 euro BEFORE they arrive to NAC. When the actual cost is about 60.000 $ for the CPP.

They force every student to start with the instrument rating right after the PPL. And if you are just half way truth it when ATPL starts. Then you have to stop with your IR, And then start all over again 7 months later. (More money to school).

You have to transfer 15.000 $ before you start your training, 10.000 $ more 1 month later, 10.000 $ more the month after and 3000 $ dollar more. And now the "funny" part of this. If you have 9000 $ left on your school account, and if you don´t transfer the next 10.000 $. They will ground you. You are not allowed to fly.

Dosen´t matter if you have 25.000 $ on your school account, they will ground you if you don´t transfer the next amount of money.

And why´s that? Because the school owe´s a lot of money.

One other "funny" thing is the cats. Yes people, they have 3 nasty cats running around inside the school. In classrooms when you are in groundschool. Laying on the front desk, on the chairs, tables. Everywhere!

And do you get surprised if i tell you that the cats gets more respect, and gets treated better than the students?

I can go on all day, but if there is something you want to know. E mail me. And spread the word, Don´t go to NAC!!!!!!

The most recent complaint is about respect.
If you showed some respect you might get it back in return.
I think the money issue is being exaggerated.
When you get to an airline you will be required to be on standby, never knowing if you will fly or not.
This school is dedicated to providing well trained and knowledgable pilots. If you play by the rules, the training will go smoothly.
By the way, you will be required to fly more than one hour per day when you get to the real world!
None of the licensing comes as a prize for just showing up......it takes work and dedication.

I have never received worse customer service than at NAC. They don't know how to treat people properly. Just want your greenbacks

You seem to have the initials of a certain groundschool instructor at NAC, and are very pro NAC in your 2 posts here on pprune... you know this isnt a good thing to do if you are really employed there. If you are really going to post here to protect your position, you really do need to do a better job at pretending to be a student!

I attended the CPP programme at NAC in 2008-09. I have no complaints at all about them, in fact they pulled all the stops out to get my training completed before Xmas so I could go home. So much so they allowed me and 2 fellow students to use their aircraft after the school closed for Xmas so we could finish our EASA CPL check ride 2 days before Xmas. And we all passed and got home for Xmas.

As previously mentioned, if you put your head down and dedicate yourself to hard work, and believe me....it is hard work....you will have no problems. When in the ATPL ground school, all of the ground school instructors cared for their students and the previous and current CGI particularly very helpful. They wanted you to succeed just as much as we did. . no school is perfect, we live in a imperfect world.

I now fly as a commercial pilot and have many fond memories of my time at NAC.

I detect a lot of negativity in your reply to my experience at NAC. It was my genuine experience at NAC, i have no link to this school other than being a previous CPP student.

Is that your involved in a competitor flight school or are you a previous CPP student ?
