I see Ryanair are doing well.

The low-cost airline reports a hike in profit, after a 7% rise in passenger numbers and a lower fuel bill.

It said traffic was up 7% - 48m passengers flew with Ryanair over the period - and fuel costs were lower than forecast because of a saving programme.CX, please stop moaning about fuel costs etc......It's very boring.

The so called "fuel saving program" means they declared for several times "emergency fuel" after ATC delaying them for something as ridiculous as 5 min on hold. Just in Madrid Barajas they made 4 priority landings due to low fuel...
Flying on vapors gives you just that much profit...

There is, you know, a difference between carrying minimum fuel and saving fuel.
:ugh:

If any of you have flown much in Spain, then you'll know that even if you took an extra 4 tonnes, ATC there will make sure you burn it all by the time you get to your alternate.. An extra 200 zig zagging track miles should do the trick...

Don't talk about stuff you don't know about!

Interesting article in the Financial Times yesterday. Stated that Ryanair captains are making on average 145K (euros) per year. That is very good pay for a 737.
