Just wondered what aircraft ppruners would most like to fly.
Me, I wouldn't mind flying a Lockheed C130. Incredible machine. STOL grass strips multi engine and you can get your 4x4 in the back as well.

Supermarine Spiteful; DH Hornet; Lockheed SR71; many, many more! Did the C130 for lots of years and loved it, flew the Hunter for a few months and thought that was pretty cool too, while it lasted. I'm sure, BEagle, that you've also flown a few of the more interesting aircraft of the last 30 years or so?

Biz Jets, just give me a a small aluminium tube with 2 or 3 pure jets strapped to it. They do everything an airliner does but goes into more intersting airfields and is serviced by executive handlers. A fat arab shiek handing out $1000 tips would be cool too!

If I had a choice I'd go for the Vulcan. Following up close behind would be the B.52.

I've had the priveilage of flying in a lot of military aircraft before. Fav was the Jag although the Hawk was pretty good too. A Citation X would be nice, especially on a Bahamas run ;-)

SF,

You beat me to it - My all-time, number 1, most badly wanted ambition is to fly a space shuttle :) :)

And I wouldn't accept anything less than the commander's seat. What do you reckon - In an alternate universe?!?!

Only thing is though I wouldn't want to end up a Challengeresque firework over the Atlantic...

Happy orbiting,

At this point in time, almost anything would do. In Fantasy-land however, The number 1, all-time top fantasyplane has to be the Tomcat. Closely followed by F-15, F16 and F-18. Hubba Hubba!!!!

Did you know that there is a CD called Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters by Bob(Robert) Calvert. Its all about the F104G, G for Germany. It is a rather irreverend look at aircraft sales. Mind you the music might not be your cup of tea! :)

Wannabee, SU27/30MKI! WHOAAA! Now you're talkin'! Superb aircraft! I'd love to fly the S-37 (fwd swept wing). I fly it on X-plane, a PC based flight sim. Great aircraft! V22 Osprey, anytime (as soon as they get it going a bit safer...

It would have to be a Herc.
With a P-51 Mustang to race with (tuned up of course) at weekends. :)

Altenatively: the Millenium Falcon, fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy ;) ;)

Yo!
19th Apr 2001, 00:02
I'd have to go for F15-E, Concorde, B747-400 (or perhaps -200) and the B777 for the big planes and maybe a Me109 or Spitfire in the spare time. The again, a DH Moth could be fun.....

My three aircraft would have to be:
For speed i don't think that you could easily beat the E E Lightning
For the low flying exhilaration it can only be the Blackburn Bucaneer
For sheer class and classic British looks and style the super VC-10
