Hello Folks,

Im considering to get my FAA ATP in Europe instead to go all the way down to the States and try in this way to cut the costs a little bit, any advice for good schools (Theory/Practical Skill Test) to contact?

For what it matters, I hold already a JAA ATPL-IR...thanks

I tried-and i couldnīt.....

According to the FAA, there are only 2 testing centers in Europe-one in the UK (that told me that they canīt do it), and one in France (it takes ages before you can get an appointment).

Then you still need to do the checkride.....

I found it much easier to hop across the ocean....got it all done in one week....

Adam House in UK can do practical test and all exams can be taken at Flight Safety Farnborough in UK, all you need to do is find a FAA instructor to sign you off on a suitable helicopter to do your test.
There are quite a few of us the UK, I for one. (CFII)
If you have any questions ask?
Nearly everything you require is listed on FAA: Home (http://www.faa.gov/)
Fill your boots.
Kind Regards
