Hello,

We are always put up at Comfort Inn DFW North. I think just like other hotels in the area, they offer complimentary drop-pick up to SimuFlite & to the airport.

I was wondering if there were other similar category hotels, that offer 'better' overall service, amenities, etc.

Thanks.

I went once to the texan gaylord hotel. Did not have any complaints about it. At least you can have an extensive breakfast. Try that one i would say.

I don't think I want to spend > $100/night (including taxes). The Gaylord Texan rates are upwards of that.

Any site where I could check rates of all hotels in the DFW area, with my dates?

The Embassy Suites chain have a hotel next door to Bass Pro shops in Grapevine. Complimentary shuttle is available every 30 minutes.

We usually stay at Supermedia - 5 mins with car to Bombardier, complimentary shuttle, OK breakfast, amenities (pool, gym, tennis and racketball court), 10 mins to Grapevine, big rooms and you nice landscape. Executive rooms around 80 dollars/day.

I'm also checking with Gaylord Texan, SuperMedia.
Will get the list from SimuFlite and check what discounted rates they have to offer.

Thanks guys!:ok:

DFW Airport Hotel - Embassy Suites DFW Airport North - Grapevine, TX (http://embassysuites3.hilton.com/en/hotels/texas/embassy-suites-dallas-dfw-airport-north-outdoor-world-DALEMES/index.html)

I would - as above. Great place, pool, tub, bar, Bass Pro part of the hotel complex. Great steakhouse next door. Big Racks BBQ over the road. Mall over the road. Full of crews. Highly recommend the place.

@500 above, thanks! I will certainly check out the place. Is the mall at walking distance?

My priorities are complimentary WiFi (preferably in room), complimentary breakfast and complimentary shuttle to/from SimuFlite and to/from the airport.
If they can throw in a complimentary shuttle to/from the local mall, nothing like it!

One of our major clients is based out of Dallas so spent a lot of time in hotels there over the last 18 months, about 4 months in total.

As for hotels as mentioned the Gaylord and Great Wolf Lodge as some of the better ones.

But in a lower budget I have also stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, and the Hyatt Regency which both were great.

Well lets see...

At this one you've got free wifi, free breakfast, free beer/spirits every evening at the managers reception, free mall and FSI/Simuflite shuttle, free shuttle in to Grapevine Town, but mostly it's the 'free and single" hosties from other people's crews that I like :ok:

@500 above, those are a lot of complimentary services that they offer! Wow!

However, I was just on their site and checking their rates, and their daily rate is a little over $200! Way over my budget!

Well, there's this next door to Bass Pro with a shuttle:

Hampton Inn and Suites Dallas Dfw Airport North/grapevine - Grapevine Texas Hotels - TheRealPlaces.com (http://reservations.therealplaces.com/hotel/10013541-11241589R.html)

Or you could try the Super8 or Comfort Inn in Irving? All have shuttles. There is also another Embassy Suites in Irving, may be cheaper.

The most important thing is to remember to visit Bone Daddies whilst in DFW though.

Bone Daddy's House of Smoke Locations (http://www.bonedaddys.com/locations.aspx)

Try the Grapevine one.

Ugh - Budget US hotels! :yuk: Saps the will to live! I thought the embassy suites a bit tacky, but it was at least very sociable.

There is a Hilton in a nice shopping/restaurant 'village' not far away.

Hi,

My company uses a lot the Marriott Grapevine Residence in. Nice facilities, gym, swimmimg pool, Grapevine mills in a walking distance, 10 min to simuflite... Nice place.

We get a really low fare with simuflite rates.

Good luck!

Another good option is the Fairfield Inn Dallas DFW Airport North/Irving (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/hotel-rooms/dalfi-fairfield-inn-dallas-dfw-airport-north-irving/).

For about $70:

• Free shuttle service to the DFW and SimuFlite.

• Free hot breakfast

• Free internet.

• Helpful and friendly staff.

• Clean and comfortable.

Best of all, walking distance to a Whataburger (http://www.whataburger.com/)! :)

I am getting almost similar rates for both, Fairfield Inn & Supermedia.

What say guys?

matthewgamm

SimuFlite rate for Fairfield Inn: $85 per night plus tax (approx. $98 with taxes)
SimuFlite rate for Supermedia: $80 per night, inclusive of taxes
Awaiting SimuFlite rate for Comfort Inn DFW North (or South)

What is the better option b/w Supermedia & Comfort Inn?

Thanks.

Has anyone recently booked a hotel at DFW through CAE? If so any updated recommendations.

Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt right at the airport are both good hotels if staying at the airport is an option. The Marriott just north of the airport is also good.

I'm sat in the Four Seasons golf resort right now, excellent rates through FlightSafety, possibly CAE too. Less than half price.

I would definitely recommend the Element : brand new, very comfortable, really nice employees, complimentary breakfast and diner :ok:
You can book it through CAE.
