Yesterday a Learjet (24 ?) from Berlin to Roenne Denmark EKRN, obviously had some sort of mechanical problems and landed just short of the RWY.
The pilot said "Emergency" to TWR on final.

A vitness saw the Learjet come in very low, hit threes and then landed in a cornfield.

The two occupants were a 38 year old mexican male , and a 27 year old polish male. Both survived, but the mexican are in bad condition.

Weather was not a factor

Weird to see a LR 24 flying these days and with German registration. Most probably our old friend Helmunt Gaedner flew that one.

D-CMMM Learjet 24D (1976 build) and last 23/24 registered in Europe - had been in a Air Force Museum in Switzerland for several years, but was test flown in 2009 sold, put back into service.

Considering the hull value, very doubtful it will fly again, asking prices range from 75K to 300K US dollars!! There is one on the market with the 12 year done, RVSM, cargo door with less than 4500 hours - for 325K US asking!!
