He was probably trying to cut the paper with a wing as it fell, and got into a spin. Not an uncommon exercise. Not a happening that I find suitable for humour.

Guys, it might be seen as distasteful to make humorous comments about a death.

If you don't see that, imagine the deceased was a relative. There is room here for gallows humour but until you get the subtlety of when it's appropriate I'd reflect before you post.

WPR12LA410 (http://www.ntsb.gov/aviationquery/brief.aspx?ev_id=20120910X71500&key=1)Seems to be the case. Maybe the NTSB was too embarrassed to write about toilet paper and upgraded it to "leaflets". Well, under the circumstances they do convey a message too, don't they? Just like leaflets, which can also be used for the other purpose when nothing else is available. :E

On a serious note, not a good idea to be doing aerial work while also acting as PIC, loss of situational awareness is just around the corner. Condolences to all involved.
