asianeagle,
Put down your bowl of shark fin soup then read this:
Cathay Pacific bans shipping of shark products - CNN.com (http://edition.cnn.com/2012/09/05/business/cathay-pacific-sharks-ban/index.html)
Isn't is better to have good news out the day before you give bad? It's all about public perception.
OK, now finish your soup.:ok:

The issues of shark's fin and shafting based pilots are mutually exclusive. The public couldn't give a rodent's bottom about the welfare of the flight crew.
As I have stated previously, it is a 'psy-ops' legal and industrial tactic to announce bad news on Friday afternoons.

A little off topic maybe (like there is one)
Just a reminder, there are only 2 days left to donate to the charity sale for underprivileged icadets living in the Tung Chung ghetto.

At least the CX 2012 karaoke contest is going ahead as planned and will be fairly contested now that ex-based crews will also be allowed to participate.

Come on, guys.
Really, how bad could it be?
- Closure of all freighter-only bases?
- "Adjustments" to passenger bases?
- Assessment and review of the expat entitlement scheme?
- Sign (CoS08/RA65/no-more-bypass) or be fired for all CoS-99ers?
There's no way they'd try anything like that on.

HAHA, you've just made my day with that satirical piece of humor.

S. Losar does not like expat conditions. The ground expats have been in the crosshairs for the past few years, I guess the rest are next on the radar.

The he should lead by example, and surrender his expat benefits first.
