AFAIK the FNPTII that used to be at Shobdon is now in pieces elsewhere. In any case, you cannot renew a JAA/EASA IR in an FSTD, only in the aircraft. You can revalidate the rating (on alternate occasions) in an FTDII/III or FFS but not in an FNPTII. I'm not aware of an A109 FTD or FFS in the UK but I haven't flown the type for some time. There's a 109E level D FFS at Sesto Calende.

Yes you can. See Part FCL.625.H
But the following IR exam (next year) must be done in the real craft.

Actually, FCL.625.H states very clearly that you cannot revalidate in a generic ME 'sim'.In this case, an FTD II/III or an FFS representing the relevant type of helicopter may be used...As previously stated, you cannot renew in any FSTD.

i found this (http://inglese.simulatoreelicottero.it/) for renewal (but it's suitable only for 135 rated )

and also this (http://www.fly-q.co.uk/teach/simulator/) but i don't know who they are and if the sim is operative...(but it is a 109 :} good for you?)

I understood that is possible revalidate at alternate years on a FTD or FFS but on the links above they revalidate on FNPT :confused:

the a109 , reccomended in the 2nd link, it seems to be under "restoration" - transformation in a 109 E
