ABC news reporting that early Thursday, two Australian special forces soldiers were killed when their helicopter rolled over on landing in Helmand province. USAF flight crew survived.
This follows the killing of three Australian soldiers less than 12 hours earlier, by someone dressed in Afgan Army uniform.
A tragic 24 hours for the diminutive Australian Defence Forces.
It is the second fatal helicopter crash in two weeks in Afghanistan, on August 12 11 were killed. It follows a hard landing by a Chinook on Monday.
According to wiki, there have been around 19 crashes this year in Afghanistan,(excluding 3 contractors aircraft) on track to be the highest accident rate in a decade.
