Worked for one UK regional where cabin crew were told not to serve flight crew anything at all at any time.
The answer could be forthcoming, perhaps in exchange for a plastic beaker of water.

I cook my own freeze them and take one with me daily, the cabin crew very kindly heat it up for me.
