Aerobility provides 'experience of a lifetime' trial flying lessons for as many terminally ill and disabled people as possible every year, also subsidised flying days for other disability charities such as Help for Heroes, Battle Back' and at-cost instruction and qualification flight training to members.
Aerobility have taught several disabled Afghanistan veterans to fly to PPL standard.

Hi cldvr

Full STC in 13 days - perhaps a record? (Wasn't planned to be like that - late changes in approach to the task from CAA and EASA).
Flight testing (3 trips) with CAA (Paul Mulcahy) on board along with our test pilot, Dan Griffiths and Tim Orchard from Tecnam UK. Ended up with a Vne restriction (very conservatively set) of 130kts and a deployment speed of about 80kts to get best effect of the streaming pyros. Dedicated battery for the pyros and LEDs so no impact on aircraft systems. Stress analysis of wingtip sleeves and pyro mounts. Our design team at Fairoaks did a great job to achieve this with considerable hassle so I was delighted when I saw it work on time at the stadium - not quite what happened on all of the previous test flights. Excellent support from Tim Dews at Airborne Composites who made the wingtip sleeves, Paul Sawney (welder) from Wycombe who created the pyro mounts, Gama Engineering staff for certification and installation, and not forgetting the Aerobility team to pull it all together.

Fantastic display!!! Had the pleasure of chatting to the pilot a while ago, fantastic chap.

I'm glad to see G-DISA is nice and clean in the video, it took a lot of effort to get it looking good a few months ago ;)

Just two days to go until the end of Aerobilitys' celebrity auction for the Co-Pilots seat with each of them in the Global Flight Simulator Challenge. You’ll see our celebrities on our blog page and the links to their EBay auctions.
Global Flight Simulator Challenge 2012 (http://www.aerobility.com/global-flight-sim/index.html)

All funds raised will go to buying and running the Simulator for two years which is currently on loan. The sim is invaluable to Aeroblitys students when the weather is too bad for lessons, for free experience rather than the cost of flying, for giving seriously ill people the experience of flying when they aren't able to get airborne and often Aerobility have visits by children with Autism and Aspergers who are terribly nervous of flying, the sim is a great means of introducing them to flying for the first time. One of our latest young visitors after having a flight in the sim and then going up in one of our aircraft described his experience as 'Awesome'!! Hopefully that will be a wonderful memory he will carry with him for life.

Aerobility at Blackbushe UK is looking for volunteers…..
Volunteers working with Aerobility provide an extremely valuable resource, and are treated as an integral part of the team.
