Perhaps the threads should be merged?

Still an excellent view of life in the days when we had an air force worthy of the title.

As I might have stated previously on the other thread. I was the number 2 navigator in the Buccs at Wittering - what a week!

Rehearsals and nights in the OM Bar with Raymond Baxter, who was intent on spending his total annual BBC Ents Allowance, were a hoot!

Those definitely were THE DAYS!

He came to visit us and gave us a Signed print to 19 squadron of him sat in the back of a Harrier T2 with John Farley
The Boss said thank you - shame you didn't do your flies up Raymond - red faced Raymond looked closely at piccy with him sat almost tackle out in the T2!

Remember it well. We hosted a lot of the visiting aircraft on 233 OCU's pan and with typical liney "humour" we christened it Doomwatch after the popular sci-fi TV series of the time.
