Here is a piece I was commissioned to paint as retirement gift for a management pilot of 'Our Airline' (which is the national airline of Nauru). VH-INU over Nauru.

Acrylic on stretched canvas 61cm x 76cm.

Beautifully captured as always AS. But why do people persist with painting aeroplanes blue? That colour is already taken - by the sky.

Foam.... The only one I know in that company is RG

Frisby....blue on aircraft certainly is a challenge. I had a commission to paint a Skywest F50. Their colour scheme is sky blue and cloud white. I contrasted it with a stormy dark sky with Rottnest Island below. Bob Tait's Pacer is another I put a stormy sky behind his blue and white aircraft.

A37575....it was painted before the recent new arrivals,so,they are probably locals going fishing.

nitpicker....it is a flyby, because to paint it aligned with the runway would put the painting 'unbalanced' due to too much land on one side and too much ocean on the other.
