Jeppesen Computer Logbook

A couple of years ago, I ordered the "JEPPESEN FLIGHTLOG PILOT LOG BOOK".
It's a nice program to keep your Logbook on computer.
It worked perfect for about 2 years on WIN 98 and Windows ME.

Just recently I re-formated my computer to WINDOWS 2000 and the logbook file is still there, can be consulted, but saving new entries is not possible. So briefly, it's not usuable anymore!

The version I have: is the 2.31 one. On Jeppesen.com, they are selling an updated version. They can't tell me if it would work on my computer.

Does somebody encountered the same problems? If so, solutions? Is it worthwile buying the new version?

thanks I found the solution already via PPRuNe.
After taking a backup, the file was saved in "read only"!
De-activating it sloved the problem.

For info: I'm still using the old 2.31 version now on WIN2000. Seem to work fine for the moment.
