Let me google that for you (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=x+plane+10+mac+manual)

I've already got the manual in which there's no answer to the question.

have you tried clicking with the mouse?

Thank you for your reply. Yes.

better ask the game publishers then, because if I've read that manual correctly, in the absence of a youke or joystick everything works with the mouse, as long as you have focus
page 63 onwards

Thanks. Can you very kindly focus page 63 onwards for me and tell me exactly what to do. That would be wonderful.

Tried mouse wheel?

Or, of course, try googling "x plane 10 mac throttle keyboard" to get

Keyboard Commands Diagram - Getting Started with X-Plane - add-ons - X-Plane.Org Forum (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=20694)

where there is a link to

amongst other key maps

Thanks for that but the posts start in 2006 and deal with X-Plane 8 & 9 which I don't have a problem with. X-Plane 10 is the wrinkle. The pdf screenshot is also dated 2006.

Then read the thread I linked to where someone tells you

Keep in mind those diagrams apply to version 8. There have been changes since then. Section 4.1 of the included Instructions talks about it:

"Key commands can be found by opening the Joystick & Equipment screen and going to the Keys tab. Key command assignments can also be changed using this screen (per the section “Configuring Keyboard Shortcuts” of this chapter) to anything you like. Also, note that many of the keyboard shortcuts are shown in the X-Plane menus. For example, opening the View menu will display the list of available views on the left side of the drop down menu, with the list of corresponding keyboard shortcuts on the right. "

A quick way to get a basic overview of default assignments: Open the X-Plane 10 key commands.rtf file found in the Instructions folder.

Now, the bit about configuring the keyboard IS in the manual, section 4.1 on page 29, but if you can't figure that part out then look here (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=15494) where there is a nice pic you can download and print off

One generally operates the thrust levers with one's hand.

Took you 2 days to think up that witticism. Could Do Better. Though OP's attitude doesn't lend itself to being helped.
