Hi all
currently enjoying the bush pilots series (botswana)on Dave. Just wondering what kind of wage these pilots get out their compared to flying bush in the Congo and Canada???? Also are these guys and gals constricted to the commercial pilots flying hours (900hrs per year i think???)

I been watching this program too and i remember one of the pilots (who has recently left to go work for quatar airlines) saying he started the job as a bush pilot with his frozen atpl at around 200 hours, he was just under 1000 hours i think when he left the job. He had the job for 2 years so he did about 400 hours a year by the seems of it.

Wages are pretty low - starting at about £900 / month on the C206, up to about £1200 / month on the C208, but it is plenty to live off out there!

I did just over 1200 hours there in 18 months (550 on the 206, 100 on the 172 and 550 on the C208), so that's about 800 a year which is pretty normal for everyone there!
