Where to start flying with fATPL

Hello all aviators. Im a student pilot currently with JAA PPL heading for frozen-ATPL still have a year to go. My question is about my possibility of getting employed as a FO in an airliner. Ill have about 250 hours. (ill have APTL with MCC, no jet TR). I heared from a friend of mine that its hard to find a job in europe. I was thinking of going to Africa for hours building and then get a job closer to home. What would you suggest me or how should i start my ,,career,,?
