Much like the old WB intro to the great Loony Tunes, the week featured repeated refrains of 'No more rehearsal, tonight's the night...' and so music carried the week. Probably half of the country was more interested in and were actually watching people with talent be judged by an uncharacteristically well mannered panel to see who was the Voice for 2012, it certainly was more entertaining than the soggy offerings of reruns from the Big Top. There was a vote for the Voice at the Grip's residence as well and we knew the Girrard was doomed in show biz when the girls all began shouting, ''for god's sake Julia just shut up".

The Girrard had a G20 rehearsal with some sort of forum about something somewhere, which involved dramatic mood setting dark lighting and the minders forgetting to put in a dorothy dix or two to chief gnome Glen. With her captivating performance down pat the Girrard used an aeronautical device to wing over to South America and the narco and oil capital of the world, Mexico. It is the holiday season so expect lots of foreign doco's on the tube, captivating scenes of smurfs and gnomes and of course guest appearances from those roving entertainers, the 'world leader'. The Girrard was given a wild card and given a gig but the head of the Euro gave it a raspberry and mumbled something about not being given a lesson in economics. Econ 101 put a tax on something increases the price, you increase the price you reduce the demand or supply of willing buyers at that price, decrease demand and you end up with a new economy.

Not to be outdone St Alan also featured in a foreign doco called IATA. Well sort of featured, business was being carved up between the Sultans and Mr Wu and St Alan was invited to watch the show and not touch anything. The Virgin now has a good collection of rich lovers to see her thru the tough times and the experiment in mining continues at the Roo. Freckling of the boys n girls at the Pavlova continues unabated by other aerial acts. Most aeronautical types had an answer for the dilemma of 'not going west' for work posed by the Girrard in the form of fond memories of overnights in Geraldton or Karratha or Port Hedland, where MEL's are dutifully ignored in the interests of a departing view of the Oz version of the Dubai.

We all will of course by now realise that is the season of conferences and fora to be used as a means for the world leaders to indulge in a little R n R in exotic climes, this of course a good thing for life aeronautical as it means lots of variety on the roster. Younger aeronautical types continue to get hired despite their left/right brain syndrome and addiction to electronic devices, older ones continue to educate them in the ways of mother nature and things electronic and engineering departments ala Air France ex Galeao in Rio not so long ago and slyly learn about I thingies.

There is of course less variety now on offer in the roster of the peanut gallery where a large number of program writers for the circus at large are to be set free in search of the 'new economy'. They apparently had not heard of facebook or twitter and more especially the Prune where all good things can be found, more truth and fun than on the dreary Aviation section of the Murdoch.

The Bollocks about things economic was so thick as to be impeneterable, it was winter in some places and summer in others as the venerable Chance once said 'I like to watch' anyhow the Block beckons. Til next week remember the Bollocks continues and so does Costa.
