In recent tests conducted by a number of impartial British airline pilots French ATC controllers were found to have 36.4% less humour than the international average:D

The French actually have an extremely vibrant national sense of humour. I don't think this is very appropriate.

As a foreign Swiss resident (& I ain't running there, I already live there) I would say there is more of a general sense of humour in the French speaking part than probably anywhere else in the country. Still, je ne pas experte.

You need a sense of humour to live in Francehttp://www.barrysclipart.com/thm/6/WB/zed_non_com/barrys/by_artist/tony/faces/jj0084.thm.jpg

I was told the the national sense of humour was dealt a genetic blow during the French Revolution when anybody with a smile on their face was suspected of being an Aristo and topped.

French ATC probably only laughs at Belgian airlines...as this is who their humour appears to knock most!
