Huntingdon Life Sciences, the notorious vivisection laboratory next to the A1, has just decided not to use rats, in their experiments, any more. They are now using redundant RAF aircrew instead.
Four reasons:
a. Rats are comparatively costly to keep.
b. There is only a limited supply of rats in the UK.
c. Some of the lab technicians were, unfortunately, getting quite fond of the rats.
d. It turned out that there were some things that even the rats wouldn’t do.

Reference point b. you appear to have forgotten the 650 in central London, not aircrew but fit most of the other required parameters . . .

Living not too far from the HLS site we'll have to ensure the Binnies' are scrupulous about their pick-ups'. Hate to see marauding redundant aircrew fighting over scraps outside the main gate at "Purple" Wyton. However there's a good Aircrew Feeder equivalent in nearby St.Ives.
