This has just started happening in the last day. If I am on a page e.g. here and I go away and open another browser window. When I come back the page is black and it says "not responding". Close re-open OK. Never seen this before. Operating Windows 7.

What happens if you just refresh the page?

Happens to me all the time, but I live in rural NZ with Internet speeds that make it preferable to use two coconut shells connected by string, this week I'm in the Big Metropolis ( Auckland ) with Internet speeds that make me very jealous, and it hasn't happened once, and it doesn't happen when I visit L.A.

Got to be a clue there somewhere ?

Stephen Fry, the UK TV presenter was here two months ago, and complained bitterly about the speed and quality of NZ Internet, so our darling NZ Telecom gave him a special connection to shut him up - but they don't give it to those of us who pay their wages ! Grrrr !!

Nigel, try using the 'open new windows in tabs instead' option, it's faster than opening a new page every time.
