Tall Rigid cargo

On the Boeing 747 family of freighters load planners and Loadmasters would be familiar with the concept of planning for "Tall Rigid" cargo, although I see many Carriers do not strictly apply this rule.

My question is, what other aircraft types apply the same or similar rule, and how does the rule vary from the 747 concept?

My first flight was on a B.O.A.C. Stratocruiser. 35 years later had the option of chartering a SuperGuppy to transport a DC10 wing to body fairing....problems were getting over the Rockies and 3 days to get to YYZ....went for DC8-63F instead.
