Seem to remember a few posts on this forum about Jan Zurakowski and his aerobatic manouvres in Meteors. For those that may be interested in further reading, the February 2002 edition of Aeroplane magazine has an excellent article on the same subject, see page 22.

Also in that issue a series of articles on the Vickers valiant including a pic of the rear crew ejection set up developed by Martin-Baker, discuused here a few days back.

Haven't seen the magazine, so don't know if it is mentioned there, but the story goes that a reporter asked J Z how he managed to do his famous 'cartwheel'. His reply was - "I fly the F8". For those who don't understand the significance, the Meteor F8 was the first (only?) Meteor to have a 'bang seat' fitted !! :)
