Hi all I have a quick question that maybe some of you can help me with some feedback.

I have a PPL with 160 hours total time 105 hours P1, and I have also completed my ATPL's.
Now I do not have a night rating, my question is would it be possible for me to start the MEP/IR before doing my night rating?

The reason I am asking is because I do not want to be sitting around for the coming months not doing anything and it is difficult to gain the Night Rating qualification due to the "summer" time.

Your help will be much appreciated.

You can complete the MEP Class Rating without a night qualification but it is a pre-requisite for entry to the IR(A) course, both under JAR-FCL 1 and Part-FCL.
