.......often seems to be mentioned. Anybody up for a guided tour and lunch there one day? If enough numbers are seriously interested I'd be happy to make enquiries of likely charges etc. A tour followed by a good lunch in the Brooklands Club restaurant would be well worthwhile. Perhaps when it's a tad warmer though. I guess it may be easier for Brooklands for a weekday, but hope that wouldn't preclude anybody.

After years reading about the home of British motor racing and aviation(two loves of my life) to now live only 20 mins away is a real treat.

In the next few weeks I'll be posting details of special rates PPRUNE members for entry into the Brookland Museum. To qualify you will need to indentify yourself at the gate by means of a Prune badge, so now would be a good time to support PPRUNE and get one.

A&C
Sadly following damage due to the severe flooding of the Brooklands site in November 2000, the runway is out of commission.

Presumably I'm not alone in being slightly confused about this, so I'll ask on behalf of other PPruners; I'm logged as 'just another number' but do have a members number which comes up when I post, so does that count me as a member, or do I need to apply to Pprune Towers? (Just eager to get a badge, really <img src="wink.gif" border="0"> )

BeauMan, to get a badge you have to buy one from IFR.

If you go to Aircrew Notices there is a thread about how to do that.
