Best School's in the USA or Europe with Good Value For Money

I am planning to become a pilot after I complete my education next year and want to do from Zero hours to ATPL route preferably on a Modular scheme as it is cheaper but as im new to the schools im not sure which school offers the best value for money.

I atteneded the FLYER Exhibition at Heathrow Airport last week and the two schools which appealed to me where:
1. Euro American School Of Aviation in Florida
2. Egnatia Aviation School in Greece

Are these schools good and are there any better school's on offer?

Hello mate,
I started my training in the US and completed in Egnatia Aviation, I don't have a bad word to say about Egnatia, brand new a/c, great instructors, nice weather and most important no hidden prices with acommodation included.

I would say avoid Euro American. I did my PPL with them. There's one or 2 people who work there who make life a bnit miserable at times. And also they tell you they have lots of C152s whereas in reality they only have 2 flying... the rest are for spare parts. Which basically means that once you turn up there the availability of the Cessnas can be bad and you will have to upgrade to the Piper Warrior (Cadet).

I also have a feeling I paid more than what was written on their website. Having said that I loved Ormond Municipal Airport. Its small but busy with GA and its a great place to fly. But I wouldn't give the school a 5 star rating. Although you get what you pay for I guess. Still worked out not too expensive. Wouldn't go back to them though.

Where does a 16 year old get the money to do flight training?? :confused:

where do you get the money? you work at crummy after school job saving every penny you can. you read every word you can about flying from a library so you can save every penny for plane rental and paying the instructor. you give up going to movies, or going out with girls and you save every penny.

if you are really lucky you might get a job at the airport instead of a hardware store.

Egnatia Aviation is not only a great value for money, its alot more than that. I strongly suggest you take a look at them. My experience with them was fantastic.

Haha, A 16 year old can find ways of getting the money, i've already had money put aside for my future but if the course costs more than the large amount I have aside I will look into loans and other alternatives. At the moment its about finding the right school :)

Be aware that I would say avoid Euro American. is meant towards "EASA" or Euro American School of Aviation aka Ormond Beach Aviation.
Europe-American Aviation is based in Naples, Florida and has been under current name and ownership since 2001.
Totally different place obviously.
