BAC Strikemaster

Anyone here own/fly a BAC Strkemaster?

I am after info on the following:

i) What is costs £/Hour to fly?. .ii) Rough idea of a monthly budget fo standing order.. .iii) Any known problems/items to check have been carried out when looking at one?. .iv) Any general experiences in flying/owning a Strikemaster.. .v) Anyone website/owner clubs that are around?

Was at Woodbourne last week when the RNZAF rolled out their instructional Strikemaster airframe for an engine run. The noise was incredible, the heat from the jet blast even burnt the grass. A shame it doesnt go flying anymore.

A friend of mine bought a JP MK5 a few years ago. He sold it after six months and 50 hours flying. He told me it had cost him GBP1,000 / hr to operate. I don't know if it's an exageration or not but he certainly didn't keep it long!
