View Full Version : Certificates of service.
I call upon the combined might of prune to help me in my quest.
I would like to give someone a certificate, recognising their RAF service in the 1980s. Is there a dept somewhere within the bowels of the MoD/SPVA that dishes them out or is there a quasi-official supplier that sells a nice looking one? Its not for me - honest!
Thanks. :ok:

I recall seeing something along those lines in the adverts of Soldier Magazine SOLDIER MAY 2012 (http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/f40fb42f#/f40fb42f/58) look at the plaque/blazer badge section.

Cheap it ain't
RAF Photo Montage | Shop for Royal Air Force Portraits UK (http://www.awardmedals.com/raf-service-photomontage-p-17832.html?cPath=183_184_385)
cheaper
Military Plaque | Shop for Military Plaques, Trophies, Awards UK (http://www.awardmedals.com/military-plaque-p-340.html?cPath=30_371)
or
Decorative Wall Hangings | Personalised Framed Gifts and Shields (http://www.awardmedals.com/decorative-wall-hangings-c-30.html)
I think there's something like that on
Forces Reunited - Find Army Friends, Find RAF Friends, Find Navy Friends (http://www.forcesreunited.org.uk)
Or so I'm told - honest!
It's advertised like so:
"Celebrate your service to the country by ordering a recognition scroll.
The scroll is printed on the highest quality parchment and is only £14.99 (incl vat and postage)."
(cant guarantee the quality at that price though)

I had a certificate recently that was accompanied by a very nice note from Sir Simon Bryant thanking me for efforts - I don't think the PSO had told him that I was rejoining the Reserves a few days later!
Anyhow, I'm sure someone in SPVA can help.
