Did you learn to fly during WW2? Some questions if you did please.
Did you come across a method where you started flying in the circuit from day one? In other words did you do exercise 4 to 9 in the circuit . I ask because I once worked with an RAF Mosquito pilot who used to teach in this fashion and said it wasnt uncommon in WW2.
Did you fly to a similar syllabus as we use today( Ex 1 - 19)? Would be especially interested to hear from those who learned outside the UK on this one.
Did you receive a mass briefing for each exercise, if so how long was it, how good was it and were any visual aids used. How many students were involved in mass briefings? Did you receive a pre-flight briefing for each exercise taught and was that one to one with your instructor?
Did you feel that training was better at some units than others? Was there standardisation or did some instructors have completly different ideas? Did different air forces have different methods.
