An appropriate name for an airworld migrant worker who cannot stop whining about the good old days, . .If the managers were so good why are they not managing jmc? where are they now? . .Pressaug tasked us with merging the 3 airlines without dumping airplanes or pilots. Not our decision, the fcda caused us to be inefficient and crew costs expensive, not our fault. . .9/11 was a disaster for all of aviation. . .TCag have ordered a survival plan and under Mohamed's management and direction that has been successful. now the greedy pilots with their threats will sabotage those successes. what will Germany think of jmc. . .you pilots must wake up and grow up

The same could be said of the Caledonian managers the honest truth is that it was in no way a merger. It was a takeover by flying colours no caledonian managers stood a chance. Funny how those flying colours managers are no longer in charge since germany got involved .

Not Whining, PRAISING.. .. .The Airworld management GREW that company internally and added value every year, and not just for the shareholders but the employees as well. They didn't **** away 200 million pounds to paint the aircraft an ugly shade of green and shrink the fleet by removing A321s and A320s. They developed a brand and were supporting it. Instead of a substandard product that is so bad that every year you have to repaint the fleet to trick people into thinking its another airline. . .. .Your revisionist history makes it sound all well and good, but when we go back and look at all your past claim's mancu we find that they are a load of crap.. .. .Remember, all the pilots were supposed to be happy with the brilliant managments. They are so happy they are ready to call a strike. . .. .Its a shame that you must have come from the flying colours side of the house and therefore have no idea what it is like to be managed by truly visionary smart people, instead of nasty little back stabbing money squadering fools. While the Airworld management was Managing the FCL boys were just concerned with shoving the other management out and securing their place at the trough, not creating anything.... .. .Whining is what you are doing about the pilots and the strike. PRAISING is what I am doing of the old Airworld managment. . .. .Shawn Dewey, John Bailey, Bob Willis, Tony Saville, you were not forgotten. ( I apologize for any mispellings of names). .. .Cheers. .Wino

Mancu,. .Someone has obviously rattled your cage.. .. .The Airworld people were well and truly shafted by the incredibly arrogant management of Flying Colours at the time of the integration. Quite why some of the Flying Colours people retained their posts when more competent and less arrogant individuals were doing the same job at Airworld is a mystery to a few people in the industry. I don't necessarily agree with everything that Wino espouses but I think your comments are wide of the mark vis-a-vis JMC.. .. .Nonetheless, JMC management continue to be arrogant to the n-th degree and I suspect MeB's bully-boy tactics and attitude, which a number of JMC crews whom I know believe is compromising that company's safe operations, will not be conducive to a successful airline. . .. .The tour operation is performing far worse than the other three majors in the market according to the last set of Nielsen data which I saw; there is a reason. The tour operation has contracted a lot of substandard accommodation (much of which was dumped by Airtours for being too down market) and the airline's reliability problems (particularly in its first year) have not helped.. .. .Mancu, if you really believe that you have a near-perfect operation, then good luck to you. It is pleasing to see that you are able to maintain your motivation despite the fact that so many people from JMC are seeking other options. The key to a successful business, in my view, involves staff motivation towards meeting specific aims. MeB has proven incapable of motiviating his staff in any manner. Perhaps it's because he knows other people are being interviewed for his job?

Mancu, would that be the Preussag (note spelling) who acquired the Thomson Travel Group (TTG) which included Britannia Airways, a while back? Preussag also includes Hapag Lloyd and Corse Air among several other travel products. . .. .Some of us on both sides of the Channel are slightly baffled, not for the first time on this forum, by your initial post on this thread. It implies, although I seriously doubt it from your command of written expression, that you had something to do with the mergers and acquisitions of Preussag.. .. .Yet your main thrust is against members of the Thomas Cook group, of which (since at least Jul '01) you are a self-proclaimed employee. This group includes the airlines formerly known as Caledonian, Flying Colours and Airworld, depending on temporal perspective, now known collectively as JMC. . .. .I am sure there are several managers and employees out here, within both Preussag and Thomas Cook, who would appreciate an explanation of your line, <Pressaug tasked us with merging the 3 airlines without dumping airplanes or pilots.> (sic).. .. .If it relates to another thread, although I am not aware of it, then a link would have been polite . . . or is there a hidden agenda . . . . . or are you another Walter Mitty "Guvnor"? . .. .Let us guess . .. .For my many friends who work for JMC, from all origins, this link from last year may be of help in backing-up my suspicions as to this individual's credibility. There were one or two erudite responses (with one especial exception!) hinting at much the same thing.. .. .I smell a large rat of small stature.

Dr Syn, thanks for that link. Makes interesting reading - tends to suggest that Mancu is one of the original Flying Colours folks who, for some reason, resents the Airworld people with a vengeance. He's either a wind-up merchant or one of the incredibly arrogant Flying Colours people who is still arrogant, then!

I suspect this blokes actually a wind up merchant....

Didn't the FCL management admit it was a takeover during a staff meeting when it was asked by CKT staff ??

Funny how everyone I speak to regards AWD and CKT in very high standing and that includes the staff and management....Sorry, but no excuse for removing a brand like CKT and all its history from the Uk leisure industry and replacing it with what is obviously a complete shambles...

AWD were an absolute pleasure to work for and the last of the small "fun airlines" I think...

dumped by Airtours for being too down market

Is that possible?
More likely to be true if you remove the word "BY" ;)

Mancu,I don't usually resort to name calling but in your case I'll make an exception. You are obviously a ****.
"The greedy pilots".Utter bollox-you are falling straight into a classic management trap of divide and conquer. The pilots were never and are not the problem at the Green Machine.Mel B and chums like you are determined to make us the problem and god help us all when that happens.
We (the pilots) are the only professionally organised body of employees within the group. With no disrespect to the cabin crew ,travel agents, call centre people etc they simply had nobody arguing for them when Mel B illegally foisted his pay cut on them.
We have recieved a below industry norm for our services while the people with vastly superior terms and conditions have outperformed us(Thomson et al ).We were all more than open to a pay deferal or loan scheme a la A2K if we saw proof of the need .(As opposed to the ADMITTED lies of A.S and Mel). This was never offered and the Ayatolah is now locked into a "loss off face" stand off with his pilots for having the audacity to challenge him and win.Brilliant tactic!
As to all this FCL/AWD/CKT stuff-who cares, we are all in this together now.(BTW the start up FCL was incredibly well run and "friendly"-it all went to rat when we inherited the other lot so we ALL got shafted)
