Has anyone heard rumours of a service linking Bournemouth to Isles of scilly??? Rumours abound but do they ever come to anything?
Some time ago Skybus announced that they were looking at the possibility of some expansion with additional routes & aircraft. Recently they were awarded the NQY & PLY to ALD, GUR & JER routes. They tried a SCI - SOU route a couple of summers ago but gave it up. A dedicated service to/from Hurn may or may not be on the cards. Possibly the services from IOS to EXT or BRI could be extended to BOH? With one Twin Otter & two Islanders in service it would be quicker to walk from Hurn!

Just about the happiest aviator I ever met retired from a Nimrod squadron at St.Mawgan and promptly got a job flying the Brymon Islander to the Scilly Isles from the same airfield. He lived in a delightful house about ten minutes away and the aeroplane was tucked up in bed by pub opening hours. God, how I envied that man. Don't suppose the job still exists...Nope!
