With AerSale acquiring 25 of the ex-Saudi MD-90s, is there a chance that these will be acquired by DL, or is it more likely they will be scrapped/parted out?
One of them arrived in ROW earlier today.

Any insight would be appreciated.

rumor has it that Delta airline is buying as many of the MD90's as possible
they love the douglas! even still flying 25 DC9's...no good replacement
I wish I owned the company that could build these planes...I would give boeing a run for its money...even though boeing bought douglas.

Have the Saudi aircraft started to be ferried to USA yet ??
The original poster showed you a flight track of the first one arriving in the USA. A couple more may have followed.
Before anyone gets excited about these aircraft joining Delta, remember that they are the original and only Enhanced Flight Deck MD-90 aircraft, full glass cockpit ala MD-95/B717.

Delta. But the Delta pilots have to approve their new contract for the deal to take place. Won't know for sure till the end of June.

If the TA is approved and DL acquires 88 717s, maybe this will increase the possibility of DL adding the ex-SV MD-90s. As they have flight-deck commonality with the 717.
Would be a shame if the whole fleet is parted out.

Looks like a second frame has been registered to AerSale and shipped to ROS:
