Just got an opportunity through a mix of sheer luck and by turning up and doing more than was asked I think. Pretty much just looking for advice on any good sources to read over, or just personal experiences, good and bad.

Its on the GA8 and I'm only 23 so its come along at exactly the right time for me, the airlines can wait a year or two! :ok:

My advice? Earn respect from the outset by saying "NO" if you're not happy with anything you're asked/expected to do. You're the Captain, you take the command decisions.

Oooooh,..how I miss flying jumpers!!
Good on ya!:ok:

You will enjoy it for sure,...but as stated earlier; You're the captain and don't take silly advises/hints/requests from the jumpers, that could put you in a tight spot! :uhoh:
Being a diver-driver, is as fun, as it is demanding.
Staying proffesional, in a notoriously un-proffesional enviroment, can be a bit of a challenge. Do what you know is right and don't take risks, and you'll be fine.

Some very good advice there , I did about 100 hr para dropping in the late 60s and can agree with every one in that up there You Are The Boss and dont let the jumpers forget (in the most diplomatic way ) you can always re enforce your control by taking your foot off the brakes and spilling the load if they get too obnoxious and they can! Happy landings ,the confidence and manipulative skills obtained with 100 hrs and 8-10 landings pr hour make it very worthwhile and if you get paid for it as well you are really on a winner.
