Today applications open for ATP-Theory at Lund University School of Aviation.

If You are interested and eligible (I guess You will find out if You apply) in this distance course I recommend you to apply.
You can do this at either https://www.antagning.se or https://www.universityadmissions.se, search word ATP.

It is free for Scandinavian/Nordic students but if you are a native outside of Sweden I would still recommend You to check up on this.

I found this course on their webpage (only Swedish though) Kurspaket Airline Transport Pilot teori - TFHS Lunds universitet (http://www.tfhs.lu.se/utbildning/kurspaket-airline-transport-pilot-teori)

Best regards:ok:

Note that you have to have a JAR-PPL to be eligible. So if you are an FAA-guy like me looking to convert, it is gonne be more hassle than fun.

I was enrolled in the program (converting from FAA to JAA, by the way). I was living in CPH and had a full-time job. At first the deal sounded great, however it wasn't distance learning per se; at least in my understanding. There were mandatory in-house courses nearly once a month lasting about 5 days. Therefore, I had to drop out. The competition for a place in the in-house program is fierce, but there was no problem getting in the distance learning program. It's a great idea if you think the structure fits your lifestyle.

I ended up doing a distance learning course in the UK; much cheaper than a program in Scandinavia (besides at Lund). On a side note, I was very impressed by the level of the course. You could tell it was grounded in a university and not some TRTO based in a shack at the end of the runway.
