Read this from the Daily Outrage:

Herman Simm: How 'human landmine' planted by the Kremlin penetrated a secret Home Counties HQ | Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2113685/Herman-Simm-How-human-landmine-planted-Kremlin-penetrated-secret-Home-Counties-HQ.html)

Unfortunately NATO (and the UK, for that matter) relies on vetting from the sending country to determine in country and NATO clearances. Who in Estonia allowed this man to slip through the net?

Hardly a problem. All the Russians seemed to have learnt is that NATO considers them as friends and had no plans to attack them. That most probably did some good.

Yes, having suffered several NATO tours, I was scratching my head trying to think what NATO Secrets the Russians could benefit from. Probably the most revealing material would be poltiical discussion within the NAC and NPC, prior to gaining consensus.

Any article that refers to the so called Defence Intelligence Service probably hasn't got the best sources, and I would regard it as fairly suspect.
