King Air 200 wheels up in Port Elizabeth, South Africa

Here is a clip of a King Air wheel-up which happened in Port Elizabeth, South Africa on Tuesday 6th March. Seems like a good job all around.

Whatever the cause, that was a great wheels up. No power to the props, low ROD touchdown, great directional control. Pilots like that do the opposite, in terms of public perception, to pilots like those on AF447. Don't know who the crew were, but well done to them.

My first commment is that it is very interesting to see how far the aeroplane actually slided.

My second comment is that it appears that the aeroplane was sprayed with water after coming to a stop.
What would that prevent? It would only damage the aircraft further.
With my limited knowledge of firefighting, I still know that water is unsuitable for both Class B (fuel) and Class C (electrical fires), which I assume was what was anticipated here.
Any informed comments?

An aircraft sliding along on its belly causes a lot of friction which in turn causes heat. Spraying water cools the hot parts before they cause a fire.
Obviously most of the water should be aimed at the hot underparts and at other hot areas such as the hot end of the engines.
