Even after Cat. 1 MMIA still seems to have more holes than a Swiss Cheese.

Cat 1 and airport security are separate issues entirely. Cat 1 looks at the country's compliance with ICAO Annexes 1, 6 and 8. The FAA assesses the regulator's ability to set and enforce regulations that bring the industry into compliance with these ICAO standards. Airport security is assessed by the Transportation Security Administration and has nothing to do with Cat 1.

Good thing or about 50% of us pilots wouldn't get near the aircraft. LOL

George Uriesi, CEO Nigerian airports, did well in South Africa, rising to a senior position at Cape Town Airport. But back home in God's own African country, my take is that the usual way we do things will foul things up for him. Which assumes he had any intention of making a difference in the first place. So, fellow ppruners, what's your take on this poser? He's less than six months on the job, but I don't give him a chance in hell

Unfair statement.
Nigeria is so difficult to operate within, especially if you are in charge of a governmental agency.
It's a political entity,so even with the best experience as a technocrat,if you have no political constituency, and allies, you will find it almost impossible to command the ship you have been given charge of.

Why call him a poser?
Unfair.
