I would like to export my Diamond DA40 to Thailand. Now in order to import it properly, in Thailand they request an import certificate of airworthiness from the FAA.

My DA40 is currently in Germany. Does anybody know of a DAR in Germany or neighboring countries? I have a list http://www.faa.gov/other_visit/aviation_industry/designees_delegations/designee_types/media/dardirectory.pdf. There are two examiners listed, one who is leaving Germany soon and the other one who doesn't answer the phone... there must be something wrong.

Any help appreciated. Thank you!

Is your aircraft on the US register or a European register?
If European, have you checked whether the receiving country authority will accept an import certificate from a European Authority?

Hello,

the aircraft is N-registered, that is why I wrote "in Thailand they request an import certificate of airworthiness from the FAA"

It seems they really want an FAA DAR to prepare and sign this Certificate of Airworthiness for Export.
