Well mr G99,

There are some 83 comments at the end of the news item.
Are you after a 'pat on the back'? - specifically?

"Tis GOOD that the catering division donated the fresh food / goodies.
'Tis also VERY GOOD that the airline donated the flight.

It will also be very good that those who usually do, will donate some of their 'hard earned' to this worthy cause and assist with some $$'s to provide cleaning up supplies, food, shelter etc for the months to come.

I also expect to see our military up there as well, assisting as they can.
That will be paid for by us as well.....

To answer your question re the people 'on here'.....
MOST of the people on here are professionals who know what goes on, and support it in their own quiet way.....

Have you contributed as yet..??

Cheers

Sorry Griffo, I think the intention of my post may not have come across correctly.

Over the last few years we've all seen how quickly everyone jumps over every negative event that happens to the group. Whilst I don't have a connection to QF, I still think it's a shame we don't seem to respond to the positive things they do with the same energy and enthusiasm.

I meant no harm, just a little tong in cheek comment to hopefully make us think, and talk, about the positives of our industry as well. After all it does get a little negative around here at times.

Anyway, sorry for the thread drift. My hat goes off to all involved for helping out those in need. It's great to see that community spirit, and support for others is still alive and strong.

YEP!
I agree with you Mr 'G', that, in these pages, not many 'double negatives make a positive'....and indeed, we do need to 'strike a balance'.

Best Regards, and Thanks,
