If you have been requested to get the FAA to email a verification of your FAA certificate/s to a third party (perhaps another Civil Aviation Authority?) use this procedure. As of 7th February 2012 this information was correct.

Step 1. Log into your FAA Airmen Certification account: Airmen Certification (http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/airmen_certification/). If you don’t have an account, apply for one and once you have been accepted, go to the above page and click on “Log in to airmen online”. Step 2. On the next page, enter your logon details and click “logon”

Step 3. On the next page, click on “Request Verification of Certificate Privileges”. See this picture for help - FAA Licence Verification 1 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/76080087@N05/6834325661/lightbox/)

Step 4. On the next page you can have a read to see what you are trying to achieve. Click on Next. See this picture for help - FAA Licence Verification 2 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/76080087@N05/6834325927/lightbox/)

Step 5. On the next page you will get the opportunity to select what you would like to include in the Verification Letter and most importantly, to whom the letter must be emailed. If the email is going to a third party, select “Other E-Mail” and enter the relevant email address. If you need to send the verification to more than one address, you will unfortunately need to redo the above procedure for each address. I’m not sure as to what the limit is. I tried it for 3 and it worked. Once you have selected what you would like to include in the letter and inserted the email address to where the letter must go, you will need to select a Photo Identification source (as I don’t have a USA ID, I used my Passport information which worked) . Lastly, click “submit” near the bottom and if all is well in the cyber world, your requested Verification Letter will be sent to the email address you selected. Good luck :ok:

You have to love the FAA. It works and sets them apart from the rest.
