View Full Version : Problem with DGCA ClassI will invalidate ClassII?

I have been enjoying flying as a PPL holder for the past few years in India, and am happy flying VFR. Inevitably though, I feel the desire to push the limits a bit more and get an Instrument rating. I have undergone the training, and can actually fly IFR, but the lack of rating limits what I can do. The DGCA rules state that I need a Class I medical (the reasoning eludes me, as my licence status does not change). India seems to be the only country which has the requirement, but there it is.
My question is that in case the Class I comes up with something previously undiscovered, will it invalidate my ClassII? If so, I'd rather continue as is.
Thanks in advance
