Anyone thinking about going to work for Spring Airlines in China should think carefully. I have a colleague who had his safety bonus of $12,000 taken from him. Apparently it was because of an altitude bust which was not really his fault. It was the result of poor english from the center, the Chinese F.O's poor english, and Tower control's inoperative radio. I have heard from other pilots that the CAAC wants to make an example out of foreign pilots. Anyone know if this is true? Apparently this amount has never been assessed to any other Chinese pilots. Really makes me think twice about going to China...

wow....saturday night...third drink..and 20 seconds on proooone,..WTF?

So buddy gets shanked, okay...well if the Chinese need more pilots..each one of these escapades adds more dough to the contract.... At some point, they have to realize that the main problem is them and not the pilots..I figure about 20 grand a month might knock some sense into them.

flyingguyforjob - even recreational drugs can be very bad for you. I have no idea if your story is true or not, but I strongly recommend you re-read what you have written and get some serious editing done. It has the definite air of drink, drugs or serious mental illness.

Thanks for your awsome, wise, advise. What would we all do without people like you to help us in such an awsome, selfless manner. If you doubt this rumor, I suspect you could call Spring Airlines or ask around....Its a samll community we are part of.

I work in the region and I'm not surprised at this story. All the elements seem very feasible to me.
