Good morning guys!!!!

I would like to know what agency people use around here in Africa in order to get last minute overflight and landing permits, since the one that I am using now (Colt) some times takes up to 2 or 3 days.

I am flying for one of those passengers that call you in the middle of the night and wants to go to Europe in 3 more hours, and so far with Colt did not work.

Any ideas, somebody can help?

Thanks so much

Best regards from the Gabonese Jungle.

I think you have to have a talk with your boss that three hours notice will (most of the time) not be enough for flights within Africa...

MKV Aviation (http://www.mkvaviation.com/index.php)

MKV Aviation. I've had some dealings with them. They're about as efficient as one could be in getting movement through Africa. Recommended.

we used palm aviation out of dubai 3-5 years ago for a few inter-african trips. didn't have any problem with them, as they handled any short-timeline trips within 6 hours. not sure of how they are now, though...

The only company that can perform under these timelines is UAS

In 12 years we have used every company out there.

If you look at the rules for obtaining permission from specific countries you can usually see that it's going to be something like two to three days lead time as an official requirement. I suppose you can find service providers with an 'in' who can beat that time, but 'those are the rules.'

So, your boss is an idiot, someone who thinks rules are for 'other people,' not for him because he is special?* Gee, I never heard of that happening before!

Thank you all guys!!!!!!

I will try UAS next time, and tell my boss to deal directly with them.

During my short time as a Coporate pilot I faced a couple of this customers, they do not understand about laws, times and slots, but hey.. they pay...

Thanks so much guys!!!
