Hi all,
I'm new to this site so just feeling my way around.
Ive been tasked by my owner to find out some information on upgrading to a G550 so was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. Basically he's fed up with the sales pitches he's being given from operators and sales agents and asked me to look into it.
Firstly, he'd prefer to buy a New but doesnt want the wait (12mth or more) but may be interested in a pre-used one, and I think he's looking at getting one fairly soon. There's many Pre-used on the market, anywhere from 2004-2008 ranging from 900-2500TT which in some cases are not too much cheaper than buying one new. New 'Options' are available but off course at a premium.
So the q's I would like some help are-
1.If buying an older model, which may possibly be out of warranty, what sort of Warranty options are there out there?
2.I have been told that a New aircraft Warranty in 5 years?
3.What sort of Direct Operating Costs can he expect? Off course, really only a Management Company can give firm costs but any rough breakdown 'Ball Park' figure could help with budgeting ahead of time.
4.Any opinions of buying New Vs Pre? Avionics updates req'd on earlier Serial numbers?
Any advice or comments about the above q's or any other information would be greatly appreciated.
