Et par år siden fløy et selskap direkte fra Oslo til Ft. Lauderdale med en B-767.
Tror det var at charterselskap, Premiair?
Flyr de hit enda? Har de interline agreement med American Airlines?
Går det å få gratis klappsete? (Cockpit Jumpseat?)

Hvis noen vet om det setter jeg pris på opplysninger.

(Spanderer pils på flygerene her på båten min.... :))

Howd'y Tower.

uken.

Takk for hjelpen.

Ja, det har nok været Britannia. De operer B767 på svensk register.

Wasn´t the callsign ¨Bluescan¨ and they flew 75´s?

Hei TowerDog!

UPS now flies to Oslo with US based pilots, and you are welcome to jumpseat all the way.

FLL-SDF-CGN-OSL, or you can also depart from PHL.

It's kind of out of the way, but I promise you will be treated right! They put up the UPS pilots at Grand Hotel, so you probably also could get a ride downtown when you arrive.

Check out the schedule and jumpseat instructions at www.ipapilot.org. (http://www.ipapilot.org.) This schedule is updated and kept current. You can also call a few days in advance (not sure how many) to reserve a jumpseat.

Take care,

Brown is beautiful!

vmommo:

Takk for invitasjon med UPS.
Yes, it is a bit out of the way to connect several times on the UPS system, but the price is right.. :)

I have jumpseated UPS numerous times in the past and have always enjoyed the experience.

I flew a few hundred hours on the UPS DC-8s as a co-pilot before UPS got their own certificate. (Evergreen contract)
Know the SDF hub well.
(Male bonding and box lunches)
A couple of Scandinavian UPS pilots live here in Ft. Lauderdale.
A MIA base is highly recommended: Sunshine and palm trees.

In the past few years we have flown Air Frog to Oslo from MIA via CDG.
Also used BA and LH, etc.

The reason I posted this topic on the direct flights between OSL and FLL was to just avoid the plane changes and headaces running from terminal to terminal, gate to gate, etc.

It seems from the above replies that it was indeed Brittania that flew in to Ft. Lauderdale, but they must have discontinued the service since I am unable to find any current info on the route.

Is Brittania still in business?
Swedish registerd aicraft? But British company..? (Or at least a very British name)

At any rate, thanks for the above replies gentlemen.

Oh, and since I am on the air:
Lost contact with a couple of SAS pilots I knew way back: Are you on PPRuNE J.V?
Or E.H? K.M?

Also a bunch or dudes from Øyvind Berg's flight school in Tennessee I have not seen in years. Any of you out there?
(I was in the first class in May 1978)

If so, my e-mail address is [email protected]
