Neat!

But I wonder how many Microlight fields hold stocks of Jet A1?

I love it, what about the perfo?

Great vid!

I love it, what about the perfo?

I was wondering that myself. Seems to use a lot of runway on takeoff compared to most ultralights, but the engine reliability compared to a Kaw or Hirth 2-stroke more than makes up I'm sure.

The horror! Has no one noticed engines running with no one in the cockpit?:\

Speed was maintained at around 60 knots due to flutter being evident at around 80 knots. Throttle was around half to achieve the 60 knots.

Aileron work is being carried out to rectify the flutter and the speed envelope will be expanded accordingly.

Full credit to the developer for building his own personal jet and being a true innovator.

:D

Is it used for business?

No, it will be used purely for fun. The builder is a prolific homebuilder and from what I gather, just decided it would be cool to build a jet.

Is it really under 115kg empty weight?

And have they solved the problem that grounded all the other Siroccos in the UK (specifically that the tails kept falling off). With a Rotax 337 the BMAA database showed the empty weight as 138kg, and the empty weight of a 337 is about 38kg + the prop. So the two Jet engines apparently weigh no more than 16kg?

Impressive if it's true, and so long as the tail-falling-off problem has been solved, I'd love a go.

Well obviously it could be a bizjet because the pilot is happy to have the engines running without being strapped into the cockpit..

But apart from the kudos for innovation & fun, what exactly is the advantage of putting jet engines on an aircraft with a low-speed low-altitude wing with fixed undercarriage?

If they could develop it into something with swept wings and retractable undercarriage it might get interesting..
