So what does this mean that EY is heading back towards Oneworld with its AA and now Air Berlin marriages? yet they have partnerships with Virgin Group. They are grabbing any straw they can it seems.

ODMEA what is yr gripe with the Gulf state carriers? Have you been offloaded, refused carriage, thrown out of one of their frequent flyers club or something?

The Air Berlin share purchase makes good sense and should ensure they can expand their route structure in Germany without getting the flack that EK does cos they will be helping preserve German jobs at the same time as growing their network.
