I am going to work for a Chinese company and would like to get a CAAC maintenance license. From what I have found so far there are no English exams on the maintenance side of things, everything is in Chinese. Does anyone out there know anyone who has managed to get a Chinese maintenance license or convert their existing license to a Chinese one?

If it's anything like what it is for pilots, then the company who employed you will arrange the license conversion process for you. As an expat, you shouldn't have to do this independently.

Unfortunately, it is up to me to sort out. New company and I am the maintenance manager, so no one else to look to. TAECO looks like it might be able to help, I am just waiting to hear back from them.
